ENTREVISTAMOS AL MANAGER DE WOLVERINES 4 LIFE (ESTADOS UNIDOS)

                                

El viajar es un placer que nos suele suceder. Esta semana la expedición virtual nos condujo a los Estados Unidos de América. Más precisamente al norte de este inmenso país, al estado de Michigan donde se localiza la ciudad de Holland, habitada por 33.000 personas.

Cuando caminas por las calles de Holland y puedes ver sus edificios, casas, plazas, jardines y su gente, tienes toda la sensación de no estar en Norteamérica, por el contrario supones estar en algún sitio de Holanda.

Y tus sentidos no te engañan ya que ciertamente Holland no es solo un nombre escogido al azar para esta población, Holland es un transplante de una porción del Pais Bajo en tierra americana.

Hasta aquí viajamos para conocer y entrevistar a nuestro colega David, alma pater de su querido Wolverines 4 Life que milita en la división de honor de norteamericana. La Major League tiene a los Wolverines como gran protagonista desde hace muchas temporadas en la que por cierto ha conquistado el trofeo mayor en 9 temporadas.

Hasta hace varias temporadas atrás, el éxito en el fútbol se repartía entre distintos equipos. Hoy lo monopolizan los Wolverines que no se conforman con poco, ese poco es finalizar cada temporada como campeones.  

Y David no solo dió el golpe como entrenador sino también llevan la delantera como manager. Cuentas ordenadas, gran promedio de asistencia en los estadios y progreso institucional mediante ampliación del estadio Big House capaz de albergar a más de 114.000 aficionados. 

Era preciso conversar con el mayor representante de una liga muy competitiva en el universo Trophy Manager, David es una pieza clave de la Major League. El tiene la experiencia y los palmares que lo acreditan para contarnos a todos sobre su club y la selección americana TM.

Compañeros no extendamos más este prólogo y vayamos a charlar con David. Quedan invitados a acompañarnos en esta imperdible interviú, que nos ha dado sumo placer llevar a cabo y descubrir a un personaje digno de escuchar.

OdePTPFC: Hola DAVID  ¿Cómo va todo por allí? Es un privilegio para nosotros poder conversar contigo.

DAVID, el Manager

OdePTPFC: Colega, cualquiera sea la modalidad ¿tienes antecedentes de haber participado en otros juegos de fútbol virtual?, en caso afirmativo ¿cuáles en cuales incursionaste?

Respuesta del entrevistado: He jugado Football Manager y la FIFA, pero no otros juegos en línea como Hattrick.

OdePTPFC: ¿Cómo fue tu desembarco en Trophy Manager?, ¿lo encontraste por casualidad, fuiste invitado? o ¿quién tuvo la culpa, jeje?

Respuesta del entrevistado: No tengo ni idea de cómo me encontré TM. Creo que pasó una vez a las tres de la madrugada o las cuatro ;D.

OdePTPFC: Y dinos ¿cuál fue tu opinión sobre TM cuando lo descubriste? y ¿qué fue lo que te llevó a tomar la decisión de unirte como manager al universo TM?

Respuesta del entrevistado: Me inscribí a partir de un correo electrónico y decidí comprobarlo. Parecía divertido por lo que decidí quedarme.

OdePTPFC: Dicen que las comparaciones son odiosas pero teniendo en cuenta tus experiencias en otros juegos de fútbol virtual ¿cuál es tu valoración comparativa entre TM y ‘los otros’?

Respuesta del entrevistado: No tengo experiencia con otros juegos de fútbol virtuales en línea, pero es una versión simple en línea donde se juega en línea contra miles de managers. Así que es bastante cool.

OdePTPFC: Leyendo tu historial, veo que falta poco para que cumplas nuevo años desde la fundación del club en TM. Después de tanto tiempo aún continúas en juego ¿te has aburrido alguna vez y has pensado en dejarlo? ¿qué es lo que te anima a seguir con esa pasión?

Respuesta del entrevistado: A menudo me aburre en este punto ya que la mayoría de los jugadores en la lista de transferencia (TL) no son lo suficientemente buenos para mi club. También hay menos motivación para jugar en primera división en comparación a cuando estaba promoviendo para llegar a primera.

A veces me gustaría disolver W4L y luego empezar de nuevo para demostrar que todavía puedo ir desde el fondo hasta la parte superior (iniciado en la división 7).

OdePTPFC: ¿Cuáles son los pros y las contras de ser entrenador de fútbol en TM?

Respuesta del entrevistado: La comunidad en su conjunto es el gran poder de TM. Compitiendo contra otros seres humanos, especialmente los notables es grande también.

Hoy yo diría que también requiere poco tiempo para jugar es un pro  también.

La mayor contra es la falta de un foro combinado entre Estados Unidos y Canadá. Esto ha disminuido la actividad del foro y de la bromas entre el club y el país. 

OdePTPFC: ¿Tienes algún DT o Club de TM en cualquier categoría americana o internacional que admires o con quien te sientas identificado? ¿Y en el fútbol no virtual?

Respuesta del entrevistado: FC Cape May, Rio FC, Little Lebowski, y el Real Oakton eran todos los clubes rivales, pero también he desarrollado amistades con ellos.

Con Oakton real (fanatico de Ohio State) trabajamos en la misma empresa de contabilidad en Washington DC Nuestra rivalidad no tendría ninguna duda continuó en el trabajo también.

Hablé con todos estos managers a través de mensajería en las noches.

También hacen a mi historia las conversaciones con estos managers, que sin duda se relaciona con ellos y admiro sus logros.

OdePTPFC: Hablamos de quien admiras en tu puesto, con quienes te sientes identificado… pero, en algún momento viste algo en otro/s entrenador/es, sin dar nombres, que no te guste y pienses…»yo nunca haría esto»?

Respuesta del entrevistado: He visto algunos equipos a sabiendas mienten y tratan de engañar a los clubes nuevos con publicidad de  jugadores malos como de élite.

También he visto que un manager seleccionador nacional no convocó a un jugador con potencial.

WOLVERINES 4 LIFE, el Club

OdePTPFC: DAVID, ya sabemos un poco más sobre tu historial de manager, ahora vamos a ver tu club… y para empezar cuéntanos el significado o él porque bautizaste así al WOLVERINES 4 LIFE.

Respuesta del entrevistado: Wolverines 4 Life se basa en la Universidad de Michigan también conocido como los Wolverines. Es una de las mejores escuelas académicas en los EE.UU. y tiene muy buenos atletas. Siendo de Michigan, no hace falta decir que soy un fan de Michigan.

 – Es mucho más fuerte presenciarlos en persona

 – La celebración posterior al partido duró más de media hora y prácticamente no queda nadie fuera, incluso después de que el juego había terminado

– En caso de tener 114,801 aficionados la capacidad de asistencia a un partido no es suficiente, los juegos de Michigan son un gran problema. La asistencia ha sido más de 100.000 aficionados durante más de 250 juegos consecutivos.

OdePTPFC: No hay que ser un experto para entender que el WOLVERINES 4 LIFE ha cumplido metas que todo manager se moriría por conseguir. En las vitrinas de la sede social exhiben los envidiables trofeos producto de: 1 vez campéon de FATA Copa Americana; 1 vez campéon de FATA Liberty League; 2 veces subcampéon de FATA Liberty League; 9 veces campeón de Major League; 7 veces subcampeón de Major League; 2 veces tercero de Major League; 4 veces campeón de American Soccer League; 1 vez subcampeón de American Soccer League; 3 veces tercero de American Soccer League; 4 veces campeón de Local QM en EEUU; 5 veces subcampeón de Local QM en EEUU; 2 veces tercero de Local QM en EEUU; 6 veces campéon de Copa y 4 veces finalista de Copa. Ahora ¿que competición te gustaría ganar y todavía no has levantado su copa? 

Respuesta del entrevistado: He ganado todos los trofeos disponibles en las Américas 🙂 Sin embargo, me gustaría ganar una competición internacional con Laduma FC. 

OdePTPFC: Hemos enumerado los mayores logros que te dieron satisfacción en el juego, y ahora una pregunta obligada ¿tuviste fracasos y decepciones en el marco de los certámenes en que participó el WOLVERINES 4 LIFE? 

Respuesta del entrevistado: Tengo una tendencia a terminar en segundo lugar mucho. Esto está en torneos internacionales, liga, copas, etc… Sin embargo, la mayor decepción es no promover más rápido (9,5 tomaron temporadas para ir desde el 7ma división a la 1ra división). Teniendo en cuenta que es bastante rápido, no es mucha decepción. 

OdePTPFC: ¿Deportivamente en esta Temporada cómo marcha el WOLVERINES 4 LIFE y hasta dónde puede llegar?

Respuesta del entrevistado: Esta temporada ha empezado de maravilla. El objetivo es ir invicto en la liga. Lamentablemente tengo en crecimiento al portero así que esto no va a suceder. Una gran actuación en la Liga de la Libertad sería bueno tener de nuevo.

OdePTPFC: ¿Institucional cómo viene el WOLVERINES 4 LIFE y hacia dónde va?

 WOLVERINES 4 LIFE, el Equipo

OdePTPFC: ¿Cómo definirías tu equipo? 2 o 3 figurones descollantes y el resto del plantel término medio o un buen equipo balanceado sin jugadores tan cracks?

Respuesta del entrevistado: GK, GK, GK. Mi equipo se ha basado en torno a tener un GK top por un largo tiempo. He comprado Tavolacci por poco menos de máximo efectivo en el momento como 2147000000 o algo así.

Mi estrategia del equipo varía de un fuerte mediocampo hacia delanteres de élite.

Normalmente mi equipo está vacío de sólo superestrellas. Incluso ahora, mis extremos son muy débiles, la defensa es bastante normal, y los delanteros no tienen la rutina o en la capacidad técnica como en el caso de Pulga.

OdePTPFC: Para mejorar tu plantel ¿prefieres fichajes de jugadores de otros clubes o cultivar/cosechar canteranos o alguna otra variante?

Respuesta del entrevistado: Decido ir por los mejores jugadores disponibles. Se trata de una mezcla de encontrar futuras superestrellas como jugadores juveniles para la compra y la compra de jugadores de juego inmediato. Muy rara vez tengo talentos de cantera propia juegan para mí. Es un gusto raro.

OdePTPFC: ¿Tienes un modelo y sistemas de juego determinado y preferido? En tu opinión ¿qué formaciones te resultan eficientes?

Respuesta del entrevistado: He construido mi equipo en torno a la táctica y es la misma desde que empecé.

Así que compro jugadores que se adapten a este estilo de juego y tienen las habilidades adecuados.

Si compro un juvenil que creo que será un futuro titular o tengo un jugador de la cantera que podría convertirse en un motor de arranque, voy a dar forma y a entrenar a sus habilidades para adaptarse a mis tácticas.

Esto implica el entrenamiento personalizado. En el pasado solía hacerlo para ir en busca de la formación.

OdePTPFC: Al momento de preparar al WOLVERINES 4 LIFE en la previa de una jornada de liga ¿que importancia le das al rival?

Respuesta del entrevistado: Si estoy siendo honesto, ni siquiera miro a mi oponente. La realidad es que incluso en la liga, yo soy un nivel por encima de mis mayores competidores. Sin embargo, solía mirar para ver si podía cambiar mis hacia delante desde el lado derecho hacia el lado izquierdo de explotar una defensa débil.

Esto haría que mi fuerte atacante partido contra un defensor débil, y me da una ventaja.

Cuando me encontré con la Selección Nacional, busqué jugadores débiles en la oposición (normalmente GK) para averiguar qué estilo de ataque usaban. Una vez que tenía el estilo de ataque y el jugador que más quería explotar, era capaz de establecer una alineación. 

OdePTPFC: ¿Estudias y planteas una contra táctica a cada rival? o ¿te mantienes firme con tus tácticas favoritas dependiendo de los jugadores que tengas disponibles en la previa? 

Respuesta del entrevistado: Siempre revisaba jugadores con lesiones y suspensiones. Hacía descansar a un jugador si estaban en color amarillo o son propenso a lesiones antes de un gran partido.

OdePTPFC: ¿Cuánto tiempo le dedicas al juego?

Respuesta del entrevistado: 5-10 minutos al día. Solía ser más de 2 horas por día.

DAVID, el hombre orquesta

OdePTPFC: Además del WOLVERINES 4 LIFE  sabemos que en sudafrica entrenas al Laduma FC y el sv Valkenswaard Fiji en ISLAS FIDJI ¿Cómo es esto de ser un hombre orquesta? ¿Cómo te las arreglas para manejar con éxito nada menos que  2 clubes en el universo TM?

Respuesta del entrevistado: Además de W4L también me encargo de Laduma FC. Sobre el Valkenswaard Fiji se inició con un par de amigos que se unieron a TM. Desde que fueron inactivos, se disolvió este club. El compromiso de tiempo para el funcionamiento de un equipo de TM es muy mínima, y que me permite ensayar otras tácticas que puedo usar con mis Wolverines 4 Life.

OdePTPFC: ¿Apuestas a que tus equipos ‘extranjeros’ tengan una trayectoria y crecimiento como el WOLVERINES 4 LIFE  como casa matriz? ¿O tienes estrategias especiales para cada uno de ellos?

Respuesta del entrevistado: No estoy tan enfocado en estrategias con Laduma FC. Básicamente estoy usando los jugadores que tengo y la elección de una estrategia basada en eso. De vez en cuando, voy a utilizar mi equipo  Laduma para probar o pilotar una idea que me gustaría usar con mi club americano.

OdePTPFC: ¿Que expectativas deportivas tienes para la Temporada en juego para tus equipos ‘extranjeros’?

Respuesta del entrevistado: Me ilusiono con terminar la temporada dentro del top 5, pero con problemas de GK que será difícil de alcanzar esta meta.

DAVID, en la Selección

OdePTPFC: Colega, tu curriculum deportivo indica que has sido director técnico de la selección nacional de Estados Unidos de America . ¿En qué Temporada condujiste los destinos de la selección? ¿Cuáles fueron los resultados de la campaña?

Respuesta del entrevistado: Lo fui en las T23 y T24. En la Temporada 23 me fue bien, ya que se pudo ganar todos los partidos e incluso hicimos debutar a juvenil de 17 años de edad, por lo que se podría ahorrar en el rescate NT. En la Temporada 24 quedamos sorteados en un grupo de la muerte, finalizamos 4º entre los 6 mejores equipos de las Américas que estaban en el mismo grupo. Antes de mi conducción, no había NT desde la temporada 17. Como resultado de ello, los coeficientes eran viejos y permitidos para los cuatro de nosotros para ser puesto en el mismo grupo. Nos fuimos sin ganar y ni siquiera se pudo marcar un gol. 

OdePTPFC: Cuéntanos un poco cuales son los mejores recuerdos que te vienen a la memoria de tu paso como seleccionador.

Respuesta del entrevistado: Tener las reuniones de personal NT y que los miembros del staff aceptaran el trabajo NT para el futuro. 

OdePTPFC: ¿Hubo momentos decepcionantes? Si es así, ¿te atreves a comentarlos?

Respuesta del entrevistado: El momento más decepcionante fue no haber podido pasar la fase del grupo de la muerte. Aún peor fue que no se logró siquiera marcar un gol. 

OdePTPFC: A la hora de hacer un balance de tu gestión en la selección mayor ¿que figura escrito en tu bitácora?

Respuesta del entrevistado: Un momento emocionante fue durante un período de transición. Nuestros jugadores estrella se retiraron y el staff intentó conseguir nuevos jugadores de mejores capacidades. Un legado fue patrocinar las condiciones para que tres de los miembros del staff posteriormente fueran nombrados entrenadores nacionales.

DAVID y las 10 preguntillas fair play 

OdePTPFC: DAVID, ¿salimos por un momento de TM? ¿aceptas el desafío de responder a las 10 preguntillas fair play sobre fútbol real?

Respuesta del entrevistado: Off course, por supuesto.

OdePTPFC: …tienes agallas colega, jeje, aquí van: 

1. ¿De qué club eres aficionado?

Respuesta del entrevistado: Seattle Sounders, el PEC Zwolle, de Estados Unidos y el Equipo Nacional de Holanda. Crecí en Holland, Michigan (EE.UU.). Que es una comunidad holandesa en el EE.UU. 

2. ¿Eres un seguidor fanático o compensado?

Respuesta del entrevistado: Por desgracia, no vivo cerca de cualquiera de los equipos, así que tengo que escuchar radio o ver sus partidos en la televisión. Pero hago lo que puedo para no perderme sus juegos. 

3. ¿Cuál es tu jugador favorito de tu club? (vale vigente o histórico) 

Respuesta del entrevistado: Conrad «Hatfield» Davis, Colt «McCoy» Rodríguez, y Darren «McCarty» Majek. Simplemente debido a apodos que vienen de sus grandes momentos.

Tener Hatfield jugando con McCoy es un gran acontecimiento en la historia de América. Soy fan de Darren McCarty porque soy un fan de Detroit Red Wing y la suya es una leyenda popular.

También está en mis libros de historia para los goles marcados, lo que ayuda 🙂

4. ¿Te simpatiza o sigues algún club de otro país? ¿Cuál?

Respuesta del entrevistado: Sigo a PEC Zwolle muy de cerca. Aparte de eso miro no menos de 4 partidos a la semana. 

5. Un jugador vigente que te simpatice o sigas de un club extranjero.

Respuesta del entrevistado: Marco Reus, Pierre Aubemeyang. Encuentro al Dortmund un equipo divertido para ver y seguir, a pesar de que en realidad no tiene una fuerte conexión con ellos. 

6. En tu opinión ¿cuál fue o es el mejor jugador de todos los tiempos?

Respuesta del entrevistado: Messi tiene la capacidad de lograr lo impensable. Es muy divertido de ver. 

7. ¿Qué entrenador consideras relevante o modelo? (vale vigente o histórico)

Respuesta del entrevistado: Mourinho y Klopp son los dos que más sigo. Yo los prefiero para estar siempre arriba en el marcador y ambos sobresalen en este sentido. 

8. ¿Jugaste o juegas fútbol? ¿Entretenimiento, amateur o profesional?

Respuesta del entrevistado: Por supuesto juego al fútbol (soccer), no al fútbol americano. 

9. ¿En que puesto del campo de juego lo haces?

Respuesta del entrevistado: Principalmente mediocampista central, también como «pierna equivocada» juego de extremo derecho. 

10. ¿Nivel de juego alcanzado? ¿uno más del montón, bueno, competitivo o talentoso?

Respuesta del entrevistado: En realidad estaba más conocido para el entorno del baloncesto (recibí una oferta de beca completa de la universidad cuando tenía 13 años) de lo que lo estaba para el fútbol (Footy). Sin embargo, yo era mejor en el fútbol, pero dejé de jugar todos los deportes en la escuela primaria. Una combinación de lesiones y me enfoqué en lo académico (estudioso de todo lo americano, la historia y en geografía gané un premio nacional) era una razón para renunciar a ella.

DAVID, en el Mundo TM 

OdePTPFC: Compañero, se terminó el recreíto volvemos a tu liga en TM, y no podemos dejar de preguntarte ¿qué opinión tienes en cuanto a la liga de Estados Unidos de America , su organización, profesionalidad de los managers/entrenadores, nivel de jugadores autóctonos y demás aspectos que rodean el fútbol local en TM?

Respuesta del entrevistado:  Tenemos una gran comunidad en los EE.UU. Dicho esto, no somos muy activos en su conjunto. Hay muy pocos equipos que compiten por un título aquí, además de mí. Por lo que la diferencia de nivel de competencia entre los 2-3 primeros equipos y el resto es bastante grande.

OdePTPFC: Seguimos en Estados Unidos de América  y hablemos de rivales de esos que siempre se buscar enfrentar en disputados duelos y que los aficionados no se contentan si no con vencerlos ¿cuentas con algún clásico o derbi?

Respuesta del entrevistado: Hoy mi rival más cercano es el BMW Oracle, a pesar de que es en gran medida una rivalidad amistosa.

Oakton real era un rival más feroz con el que si he perdido estaría molesto para el resto de la noche y, a veces durante un par de días.

Me gusta Oakton como persona, pero no podía soportar no ganarle.

Cape May tenía sentimientos similares hacia nuestros partidos, a pesar de que yo estaba bien con lo que el resultado fue en contra del Cape, yo preferiría una victoria, pero no molestaría con una pérdida. 

OdePTPFC: DAVID ¿Has cosechado amistades en TM de Estados Unidos de América  y por qué no de otros países de la comunidad? ¿Puedes mencionar a esos amigos, de que países son oriundos, cuáles son sus clubes y en que ligas militan?

Respuesta del entrevistado: En TM 1.0 hubo una gran sala de chat. Es evidente que tengo amigos de los EE.UU. y Canadá (que utilizamos para compartir un foro). Echo de menos en gran medida el foro combinado y algunas de las amistades formadas. Tengo un montón de amigos TM en Facebook, incluyendo Q8 (Kuwait – inactivo), Bobz (Croacia), dos Tams (Escocia), Alcohólicos United (Australia), NK Dobrepolje (Eslovenia 1.1), FC Hopewell (Jamaica-Universidad de Connecticut) , Fuerza FC (República Dominicana-inactivo), Académica de Coimbra (Portugal-inactivo), Todos los MTs originales (incluso gmail), las aguas profundas (Países Bajos). 

OdePTPFC: Dime, y de las ligas argentinas ¿qué conoces? ¿tienes alguna opinión? ¿sigues a alguno de los equipos locales? el WOLVERINES 4 LIFE ¿cuenta con clubes amigos en Argentina? 

Respuesta del entrevistado: Conozco algunos de los equipos de la Liberty League. Barrio, San Lorenzo, Los Pingos y Central Córdoba vienen a mi mente inmediatamente. Al igual que los EE.UU. y otras ligas superiores, el nivel de talento es, sin duda hacia abajo desde el pico en el final de la temporada en 20s 30s temporada.

Recuerdo que Argentina tenía un equipo nacional muy fuerte. Recuerdo que en la temporada 24 (después del largo descanso del equipo nacional) nos pusieron en un grupo con Argentina. Este fue el grupo de la muerte y yo era el entrenador nacional de Estados Unidos. Por desgracia, no hemos tenido un avance y no pudimos anotar un solo gol. Argentina estaba molesto por Trinidad y Tobago. 

OdePTPFC: Hay muchos entrenadores en TM que comienzan un proyecto desde cero y luego si no obtienen buenos resultados se van. En tu opinión y por tu experiencia, para alentar a los entrenadores que se inician en este juego y porque no para aquellos que ya tienen algún tiempo… ¿te animas a mencionar tres consignas importantes en las estrategias que deben implementar para llevar adelante a sus equipos y conseguir grandes resultados?

Respuesta del entrevistado: Contar con un GK con grandes habilidades claves y seguramente en los partidos va a hacer maravillas, centrarse en un estilo de ataque en particular (laterales, pase en profundidad, de pases cortos, etc.), y nunca enamorarse de un jugador en la lista de transferencias.

OdePTPFC: Bueno compañero, hasta ahora la entrevista ha sido todo seriedad, jeje, ¿te animas a sacarle una sonrisa a nuestros colegas? ¿que anécdota que sean entretenida, graciosa, llamativa o todo junto que tenga que ver con TM que puedas contarle a los lectores? 

Respuesta del entrevistado: Un entrenador dijo una vez: «Ningún hombre es más importante que el equipo. Ningún entrenador es más importante que el equipo. El equipo, el equipo, el equipo, y si pensamos de esa manera, todos nosotros, todo lo que haces, se tiene en cuenta el efecto que tiene sobre mi equipo? «.

El discurso al equipo lo considero uno de las arengas pre-juego más inspiradoras 

OdePTPFC: Para ir cerrando la entrevista, en lo personal ¿ha cambiado en algo el DAVID del principio, cuando comenzó su carrera como entrenador, al DAVID de hoy en día?

Respuesta del entrevistado: En TM, que solía pasar mucho más tiempo en él que en la actualidad. También he vendido todos los jugadores en el momento cuando cumplían 25 años. Hoy guardo mis jugadores más tiempo y con frecuencia no vendo el peso muerto porque no paso tanto tiempo en TM.

Hoy soy un profesional de negocios y no un estudiante. En combinación con los intereses externos ya no suelo registrarse cada día más. 

OdePTPFC: Estimado DAVID no quisiera robarte más tiempo libre, ni tampoco abusar de tu generosidad, así que dinos, ¿hay algún otro tema del que te gustaría que hablásemos? ¿algo más que quieras contarnos que no se haya dicho ya?

Respuesta del entrevistado: ¿Cuál fue la estrategia inicial cuando me inicié en el TM? Decidí ir al 10/10 por mi cantera y su formación inmediatamente. He comprado jóvenes para luego desarrollarlos.

Era una estrategia que decidí desde el principio.

No modelo mi equipo después de cualquier otra persona, pero me di cuenta de algunos otros clubes que van en la misma ruta, en particular Zemedriq, Vaclav FC, Rab.bits, Der Kaiser Knaegte, Académica de Coimbra, y más tarde real Oakton.

Hoy no me gustaría contar con una alta cantera debido a los costos que noson tan baratos.

Respuesta del entrevistado: Gracias Jaime por elegirme para este reportaje. Es un honor para mí hacer la entrevista. 

Nadie puede evitar decir que el Wolverines 4 Life es un equipazo. Sin embargo, el calificativo se queda corto. Quizá sea más apropiado argumentar que es extremadamente bueno.

Sin incurrir en abusos de adjetivación ni de estadística, alcanza con decir que en las últimas temporadas rozó una eficacia admirable, como ningún otro rival de la Major League haya podido lograr.

Y estos Wolverines responden así gracias a la constancia y capacidad de David. Es un entrenador que conoce al dedillo las fortalezas y debilidades de su plantel; lee las estrategias y las performances de sus rivales más conspicuos cuando nota que estos pueden resistirse a ser avasallados; y en este sendio reelabora su plan de partido. Casi siempre, a la perfección.

Traveling is a pleasure that often happens to us. This week the virtual expedition led us to the United States of America. More precisely north of this vast country, the state of Michigan where the city of Holland, inhabited by 33,000 people is located.

When you walk through the streets of Holland and you can see buildings, houses, squares, gardens and people, you have all the feeling of not being in North America, on the other hand you suppose to be somewhere in the Netherlands.

And your senses do not deceive you because Holland is certainly not just a name chosen at random for this population, Holland is a transplant of a portion of the country under on American soil.

So far we traveled to meet and interview our colleague David, pater soul of his beloved Wolverines 4 Life who play in the North American division of honor. Major League has the Wolverines as great protagonist since many seasons in which incidentally has won the biggest trophy in 9 seasons.

Until several seasons ago, success in football was distributed among different teams. Today monopolize the Wolverines that do not conform with little, that little is to finish the season as champions.

And David not only gave the coup as a coach but also take the lead as manager. ordinates accounts, average attendance in large stadiums and institutional progress by expanding the stadium Big House can accommodate more than 114,000 fans.

Respondent’s answer: Yes 🙂

DAVID, the Manager

OdePTPFC: Dude, whatever the mode do you have a history of involvement in other football games virtual?, if so what in which incursionaste?

Respondent’s Answer: I have played Football Manager and FIFA, but not other online games like hattrick

OdePTPFC: How was your arrival in Trophy Manager ?, you found by chance, you were invited? or who was at fault, lol?

Respondent’s answer: I have no idea how I found TM. I think it happened around 3am or 4am.

OdePTPFC: And tell us what was your opinion about TM when you find out? and what was it that made you decide to join as a manager at TM universe?

 Respondent’s answer: I saw that I signed up from an e-mail and decided to check it out. It looked fun so I stuck around.

OdePTPFC: They say comparisons are odious but considering your experiences in other games virtual football what is your comparative evaluation between TM and ‘others’?

Respondent’s answer: I don’t have experience with other online virtual football games, but it’s a simpler online version of FM played against thousands of managers. So that is pretty cool.

OdePTPFC: Reading your history, I see little remaining before you turn eight years since the club’s foundation in TM. After all this time still continue at stake have you ever bored and you thought about quitting? What is it that inspires you to continue with that passion?

Respondent’s answer: I am often bored at this point as most players on the transfer list (TL) are not good enough for my club. Also there is less for me to do in 1.1 compared to when I was promoting to get to 1.1. At times I would like to disband W4L and then start over to show that I can still go from the bottom to the top (started in division 7).

OdePTPFC: What are the pros and cons of coaching soccer TM?

Respondent’s answer: The community as a whole is the big pro to TM. Competing against other humans – especially smart ones is great too. Today I would say that it also requires little time to play is a pro too. The biggest con is missing the combined US and Canada forum. This has decreased the forum activity and the banter between club and country.

OdePTPFC: Do you have a DT or TM Club in any AMERICAN or international category you admire or with whom you feel identified? And football is not virtual?

Respondent’s answer: FC Cape May, Rio FC, Little Lebowski, and Real Oakton were all rival clubs, but also developed friendships with them.

Real Oakton (Ohio State fan) and I could have worked at the same accounting firm in Washington D.C. Our rivalry would have no doubt continued at work too.

I talked with all of these managers via messenger on a nightly basis. So do to my history and conversations with these managers, I definitely relate to them and admire their achievements.

OdePTPFC: We talked about who admire his post with whom you feel identified … but at some point saw something in another / s coach / es, without naming names, not like it and think … «I would never do this»?

Respondent’s answer: I have seen some teams knowingly lie and try to deceive newer clubs by advertising poor players as elite. I have also seen a manager fire potential national team player because the national coach did not call the player up.

WOLVERINES 4 LIFE the Club

OdePTPFC: DAVID, we know a little more about your history manager, now let’s see your club … and to tell us the meaning or the start and were baptized because the WOLVERINES 4 LIFE.

Respondent’s answer: Wolverines 4 Life is based on the University of Michigan aka the Wolverines. It’s one of the top academic schools in the US and happens to have pretty good athletics. Being from Michigan, it goes to say that I am a Michigan fan.

– It is much louder in person

– The post-game celebration lasted over a half hour and virtually no one left even after the game was over

– In case having 114,801 fans attend a game was not enough, Michigan games are a big deal. Attendance has been over 100,000 fans for over 250 consecutive games.

OdePTPFC: No need to be an expert to understand that the goals WOLVERINES 4 LIFE fulfilled all manager would die to get. In the windows of the headquarters exhibit enviable trophies product. Now what competition you like to win and have not yet raised his glass?  1 time American Cup champion FATA; 1 time champion FATA Liberty League; 2 times FATA Liberty League runner-up; 9 times champion of Major League; 7 times Major League runner-up; third Major League 2 times; 4 times champion American Soccer League; 1 time runner-up American Soccer League; 3 times third American Soccer League; 4 times champion Local QM in the US; Local 5 times runner-QM in the US; Local third 2 times QM in the US; 6 times champion and 4 times Cup finalist Cup.

Respondent’s answer: I have won all of the trophies available in the Americas 🙂 However, I would like to win an international competition with Laduma FC.  

OdePTPFC: We have listed the major achievements that gave you satisfaction in the game, and now a must question did you have failures and disappointments in the context of the events in which participated WOLVERINES 4 LIFE?

Respondent’s answer: I have a tendency to finish second a lot. This is in international tournaments, league, cups etc… However, the biggest disappointment is not promoting faster (took 9.5 seasons to go from 7th division to 1st division). Considering that is fast, it is not much of a disappointment.

OdePTPFC: Sportily this season started the WOLVERINES 4 LIFE and how far you can go?

Respondent’s answer: This season has started out great. The goal is to go undefeated in league play. Unfortunately I am building routine for a GK so this is not going to happen. A deep run in the Liberty League would be great to have again.

WOLVERINES 4 LIFE, Team

OdePTPFC: How would you describe your team? 2 or 3 descollantes figureheads and the rest of the squad average or a good balanced team without players as cracks?

Respondent’s answer: GK, GK, GK. My team has been based around having a top 10 GK for a long time now. I purchased Tavolucci for just under maximum cash at the time like 2,147,000,000 or something. My team strategy varies from a strong midfield to elite forwards. Typically my team is not filled of only superstars. Even now, my wingers are very weak, the defense is rather average, and the forwards do not have routine or in Pulga’s case technical ability.

 OdePTPFC: To improve your squad Choose signings of players from other clubs or cultivating / harvesting homegrown or some other variant?

Respondent’s answer: I choose to go after the best available players. This is a mix of finding future superstars as youth players to purchase and buying immediate game changing players. Very rarely do I have homegrown talents play for me. It is a rare treat.

OdePTPFC: Do you have a specific model and systems and favorite game? In your opinion, what training you are efficient?

Respondent’s answer: I have built my team around the through ball tactic since I started. So I buy players that fit this play style and have the right skills. If I purchase a youth player that I think will be a future starter or have a youth player that could develop into a starter, I will shape/train their skills to fit my tactics. This involves custom training. In the past I used pig-n-middle as a go to for training. Some old timers will remember these tactics 😉

OdePTPFC: At the time of preparing the pre WOLVERINES 4 LIFE in a league match what importance do you give the opponent?

Respondent’s answer: If I am being honest, I do not even look at my opponents. The reality is even in league play, I am a level above my biggest competitors. However, I used to look to see if I could switch my forwards from right side to left side to exploit a weak defender. This would cause my strong attacker to match against a weak defender, giving me an advantage. When I ran the National Team, I looked for weak players on the opposition (normally GK) to figure out what attacking style to use. Once I had the attacking style and the player that I most wanted to exploit, I would be able to set a lineup.

OdePTPFC: Do you study and planteas tactics against each opponent? Or do you stand firm with your favorite tactics depending on the players you have available in the previous?

Respondent’s answer: I pretty much just check for injuries and suspensions. I occasionally will rest a player if they are on a yellow or are injury prone before a big match.

OdePTPFC: How much time do you spend the game?

Respondent’s answer: 5-10 minutes a day. Used to be over 2 hours per day

DAVID, man orchestra

OdePTPFC: In addition to WOLVERINES 4 LIFE we know that in South Africa train to Laduma FC and sv Valkenswaard Fiji in FIJI ISLANDS How is this to be a jack of all trades? How do you manage to successfully manage no less than 2 clubs in the TM universe?

Respondent’s answer: In addition to W4L I also manage Laduma FC. Valkenswaard Fiji was started with a couple of friends that joined TM. Since they went inactive, this club will be disbanded. The time commitment for running a team in TM is very minimal, and it allows me to pilot other tactics that I can use with my Wolverines 4 Life club.

OdePTPFC: Betting your teams ‘foreigners’ have a track record and growth as the WOLVERINES 4 LIFE as a parent? Or do you have special strategies for each of them?

Respondent’s answer: I am not so much focused on strategies with Laduma FC. I am basically using what players I have and choosing a strategy based on that. On occasion, I will use my Laduma side to test or pilot an idea that I would like to use with my primary club.

OdePTPFC: What sports are your expectations for Season game for your teams ‘foreign’?

Respondent’s answer: I am hoping for a top 5 finish, but with GK issues it will be tough to reach this goal.

DAVID national team

OdePTPFC: Dude, your sports resume indicates that you’ve been coach of the AMERICAN national team. What Season you led the destinies of the selection? What were the results of the campaign?

Respondent’s answer: S23 and S24. Season 23 went well as we won every match and even started a 17 year old so he could be saved in the NT rescue. Season 24 we ended up drawing the group of death. 4 of the top 6 teams in the Americas were put in the same group. Prior to my reign, there was no NT matches since season 17. As a result, the coefficients were old and allowed for all four of us to be put in the same group. We went winless and failed to even score a goal.

 OdePTPFC: Tell us what the best memories that come to the memory of your step as coach.

Respondent’s answer: Having the NT staff meetings and seeing the staff members take the NT job in the future.

OdePTPFC: Was disappointing moments? If so, do you dare to comment on?

Respondent’s answer: The most disappointing moment was not advancing out of the group of death. Even worse was we failed to even score a goal.

OdePTPFC: When taking stock of your management team most figure what written in your journal?

Respondent’s answer: An exciting time during a transition period. Our star players retired and the staff attempted to get new players some caps. A legacy was created as three of my staff members were later named the National Coach 🙂

DAVID and fair play 10 little questions

OdePTPFC: DAVID, do we get out for a moment of TM? Do you accept the challenge of responding at 10 little questions fair play on real football?

Respondent’s answer:

1. In what club you are fond?

Respondent’s answer: Seattle Sounders, PEC Zwolle, US and Netherlands National Team. I grew up in Holland, Michigan (USA). So a Dutch community in the USA.

 2. Are you a fan or follower compensated?

 Respondent’s answer: Unfortunately I do not live close to any of the teams, so I have to stream or watch on television. But I do what I can to catch the games. 

3. What is your favorite player in your club? (It current or historical) 

Respondent’s answer: Conrad «Hatfield» Davis, Colt «McCoy» Rodriguez, and Darren «McCarty» Majek. Simply because of nicknames/coming up in big moments. Having Hatfield play with McCoy is a play on American history. Darren McCarty because I am a Detroit Red Wing fan and his is a folk legend. He also is in my history books for goals scored, which helps 🙂

 4. Do you sympathize or keep a club in another country? Which? 

Respondent’s answer: I follow PEC Zwolle pretty closely. Aside from that I watch no less than 4 EPL matches per week. 

5. A current player you sympathize or follow a foreign club.

Respondent’s answer: Marco Reus, Pierre Aubemeyang. I find Dortmund a fun team to watch/follow, although I don’t really have a strong connection to them 

6. In your opinion, what was or is the best player of all time?

Respondent’s answer: Messi has the ability to pull off the unthinkable. He is a lot of fun to watch.

7. What coach consider relevant or model? (It current or historical)

 Respondent’s answer: Mourinho and Klopp are the two that I most closely follow. I prefer to hit on the counter and both excel in this regard.

8. Did you play football or play? ¿Entertainment, amateur or professional?

Respondent’s answer: Absolutely, football (soccer), not American football.

9. In that since the field you do?

Respondent’s answer: Primarily central mid, also a “wrong footed” right winger

 Level of play reached? Does one of the bunch, well, competitive or talented?

10. Respondent’s answer: I was much better known for basketball (received a full college scholarship offer when I was 13) than I was for soccer/footy. However, I was better at football, but stopped playing all sports during grade school. A combination of injuries and focusing on academics (all-american scholar, national history and geography award winner) was a reason for giving it up.

DAVID in the World TM

OdePTPFC: partner, the return was completed small recreation your league in TM, and we cannot help wondering what is your opinion about the AMERICAN league, organization, professionalism of the managers / coaches, players level of indigenous and other issues surrounding the local football TM?

Respondent’s answer: We have a great community in the US. With that said, we are not very active as a whole. There are very few teams that compete for a title here besides myself. So the level of competition between the top 2-3 teams and the rest is quite large.

OdePTPFC: We continue in United States of America and talk about those rivals who always seek deal on disputed duels and fans are not content if not beat Do you expect some classic or derby?

Respondent’s answer: Today my closest rival is BMW Oracle. Although it is very much a friendly rivalry. Real Oakton was a fiercer rival that if I lost or drew, I would be upset for the rest of the night and sometimes for a couple of days. I like Oakton as a person, but could not stand not beating him. Cape May had similar feelings towards our matches, although I was fine with whatever the result was against Cape. I would prefer a victory, but would not be upset with a loss.

OdePTPFC DAVID Have you harvested friendships TM AMERICAN and why not other countries of the community? Can you mention those friends that countries are from, what their clubs and leagues that are active?

Respondent’s answer: In TM 1.0 there was a great chat room. I obviously have friends from the US and Canada (we used to share a forum). I greatly miss the combined forum and some of the friendships formed. I have a lot of TM friends on Facebook, including Q8 (Kuwait – inactive), Bobz (Croatia), Two-Tams (Scotland), Alcoholics Utd (Australia), NK Dobrepolje (Slovenia 1.1), FC Hopewell (Jamaica-UConn), Force FC (Domincan Republic-inactive), Academica de Coimbra (Portugal-inactive), All of the original MTs (even gmail), Deep Waters (Netherlands).

OdePTPFC Tell me, and Argentine leagues you know what? Do you have an opinion? Do you follow any of the local teams? the WOLVERINES 4 LIFE clubs do you have friends in Argentina?

Respondent’s answer: I know a few of the teams from Liberty League. Barrios, San Lorenzo, Pingos, and Central Cordoba come to mind immediately. Much like the US and other top leagues, the talent level is certainly down from peak in the late season 20s into season 30s. I remember Argentina had a very strong national team. I remember in season 24 (after the long national team break) we were placed in a group with Argentina. This was the group of death and I was the US National Coach. Unfortunately, we did not have a forward and we failed to score a single goal. Argentina was upset by Trinidad & Tobago.

OdePTPFC: There are many coaches TM starting a project from scratch and then not do well if they leave. In your opinion and your experience, to encourage trainers who are new to this game and why not for those who already have some time … do you dare to mention three major slogans on the strategies to be implemented to carry out a their teams and get great results?

Respondent’s answer: GK with great key skills and routine will do wonders, focus on a particular attack style (wing, through ball, short passing etc…), and never fall in love with a player on the transfer list 🙂

OdePTPFC: Good companion, until now the interview was all seriousness, lol, do you dare to get a smile to our colleagues? What they are entertaining anecdote, witty, striking or all together have to do with TM you can tell the readers?

Respondent’s answer: DAVID once said, “No man is more important than The Team. No coach is more important than The Team. The Team, The Team, The Team, and if we think that way, all of us, everything that you do, you take into consideration what effect does it have on my Team?”

OdePTPFC: To go closing the interview, personally Has something changed in the DAVID the beginning, when he began his coaching career at DAVID today?

Respondent’s answer: In TM, I used to spend far more time on it than today. I also sold every player by the time they turned 25. Today I keep my players longer and often do not sell the dead weight because I do not spend as much time on TM. Today I am a business professional and not a student. Combined with outside interests I do not typically log in every day anymore.

OdePTPFC: Friend DAVID would not steal more time, nor abuse your generosity, so tell us, is there any other topic you would like us to talk? Anything else you want to tell it has not already said?

Respondent’s answer: What was your early strategy when you started in TM? 

I decided to go to 10/10 for my youth and training immediately. I purchased youths and then flipped them after developing. It was a strategy that I decided on from the start. I did not model my team after anyone else, but I did notice a few other clubs going the same route, notably Zemedriq, FC Vaclav, Rab.bits, Der Kaiser Knaegte, Academica de Coimbra, and later Real Oakton. Today I would not go with a high youth academy due to the costs and player prices being so cheap.

OdePTPFC: Colleague to end we can only send a greeting, thank you this time you’ve spent with us and of course, luck and success in competitions TM you notes. It has been a pleasure.

No one can avoid saying that the Wolverines 4 Life is a great team. However, the label falls short. May be more appropriate argue that it is extremely good.

Without incurring abuse of adjectives and statistical, suffice it to say that in recent seasons grazed an admirable efficiency like no other opponent of the Major League has been achieved.

And these Wolverines respond well thanks to the perseverance and ability to David. He is a coach who knows by heart the strengths and weaknesses of your campus; read the strategies and performances of his most prominent rivals when note that these can resist being overwhelmed; and in this Sendio reworks his game plan. Almost always, to perfection.
